School-wide Positive Behavior Support is a systems approach to establishing the social culture and behavioral supports needed for all children in a school to achieve both social and academic success. SWPBS is not a packaged curriculum, but an approach that defines core elements that can be achieved through a variety of strategies.

At Harriman Middle School, students can earn Blue Bucks, which they can then turn in for a drawing done once per week with rotating prizes to be given out.  These Blue Bucks also add up to earn students admission to our end of year SWBPS Bash.

Students can earn Blue Bucks by exhibiting good behaviors and being cooperative with adults and other students.

Currently, one of our "prizes" is admission to the "Blue Devil Café" on Wednesdays.  Weather permitting, Wednesday winners are allowed to choose one friend to join them in eating lunch outside at the picnic tables.
