Did you know that October is Principal Appreciation Month?!
We surprised Mrs. Smith, today, with an assembly in the gym prior to our pep rally for the volleyball team! The faculty and staff went in together and got her some goodies and made her a crate of some of her favorites.
In addition to her crate of goodies, we have OFFICIALLY crowned her the BLUE DEVIL QUEEN!
We would like to take a moment to let you all know a little about Mrs. Smith and all the work and love she puts into her job. Being a principal is definitely not easy!! However, she gets up every day, comes to work, and does her job with the utmost grace, dignity, and love for the HMS Family.
She cares about our students, faculty, staff, and school as a whole. She is constantly working behind the scenes to make our school the best it can be. Her top priority is always the students, and she does whatever she can to also support the faculty and staff so they, too, can do their best for the students of HMS!
We love Mrs. Smith, and we know that she does not seek accolades and attention for her job, but we also know that everyone likes to feel appreciated every now and then, even if they are not expecting to be shown such. We just HAD to let you all know how much we appreciate her!
We know we are partial, but the way she always looks out for us and supports our school, treats her faculty and staff like professionals, and is always keeping in mind what is best for our students, we feel like we’ve got the best principal in the universe, right here at Harriman Middle!
Mrs. Smith, we hope that you enjoy your goodies, but realize that they will never come close to expressing how much we appreciate you and everything you do for HMS!!!
We love our Blue Devil Queen!!
